Established in 1998, Whittington Estates is a residential community of approximately 200 homes located in Brownsburg, Indiana, just 10 miles west of Indianapolis. Residents share community property including sidewalks, walking paths, ponds, playground and extensive areas of common land.
The Whittington Homeowners Association, Inc. is a non-profit corporation created by the Articles of Incorporation and registered with the State of Indiana. The business of the Association is conducted by a five-member Board of Directors. Elected by the homeowners during the Association's Annual Meeting, the Directors are homeowners and volunteer their time. In addition, the Board appoints several volunteers each year who serve on various neighborhood committees. The By-laws spell out the management duties and responsibilities of the Board and the Covenants provide the rules and regulations for properties within Whittington Estates. All homeowners are required to pay dues to the association to cover expenses such as maintenance, insurance, and printing and mailing.
